Biography
William was born about 1808. William Miles ... He passed away in 1876. [1]
William was a convict, arriving Hobart on the "Lady Castlereagh" on 11 June 1818, serving 7rs for larceny. William was only 5'3" tall. 11.6.1818 he worked as an overseer of government boat crews for 6 years with a good record and had an increase of salary to 20 pounds.
Arrived Stockyard Flats, Monaro, NSW in 1856.
His death certificate has him being 71 in 1876 - this would make his birth year c1805? Cause of Death - Dropsy for the 3 weeks
