Hi Dallas. John and his wife Janet spent some time in the Poor House with their son John and his wife Matilda; and also Matilda's parents. John was also in poor health and he and Janet received some financial assistance during this time. I'll attached a couple of documents regarding this and also showing that Janet died in February 1848 and also about Charles.

Just wondering about Janet's death c1876 -- I cannot find her or husband John past 1841 Census -- I've noted that their youngest son Charles Stewart was with his brother John and wife Matilda in the 1851 Census so am assuming that his parents either moved or were deceased??
