I don't remember my Grandfather as I was around 4 or so yrs old when he died but I do remember Nana Brown with the greatest of love and affection. The best holidays of my childhood were spent on the farm milking cows while she was alive with one of mums brothers Richard. I had the best times of my life there. I so so loved my holidays there and the last time I saw Nana while in NZ I had this feeling I should tell her that. I did and she just smiled, seemed a little surprised and said to me "Did you darling". I said yes Nana, the bestus holidays were with you and the cows. She seemed really delighted and said how lovely that was to hear.
She died a couple of years later and so I never got to ask her anything about family etc.
