John was born in 1723 at Rehoboth, Massachusetts, the son of John and Sarah (Horton) Millard.[1]
He married Susannah Luther in 1744 at Swansea.[2] By 1748, they had settled in Warren, Rhode Island, where they had children[3]

He passed away in 1808 at Providence, Rhode Island and is buried at the North Burial Ground. His gravestone is inscribed, "In memory of John Miller, who died Feb. 28, 1808 in the 89th year of his age."[4]
