They adopted her nephew, Augustus Michael Doll, when her sister , Marie Francisca Fougeron Doll, died at childbirth . Plus, they had many children of their own .
In later life, John Miller retired from the hardware business and helped managed the Fougeron family farm after the death of his father -in-law.
