Elisheba or Elizabeth Miller is shown in sources as the daughter of Daniel Miller 1680 or Cornelius Miller 1662.
Elisheba Miller is shown by that name in the marriage record to Jacob Schellinger (Skellinx) and in one source below as the daughter of Daniel Miller and born 1702.
Elizabeth Miller is shown as the daughter of Cornelius Miller, born 1704 and married Jacob Schellinger on the date in the marriage record. Elizabeth is not found in the records of baptisms of "infants or children under age" by Rev. Nathaniel Huntting, likely because a source states her father joined the church in 1724, the same year of Elizabeth's marriage, when she was about 20 years old.
Jacob Schellinger is shown in the RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project source and the East Hampton History source as born 22 November 1702, matching the date in the line above in the record of baptisms shown in the Records of the Town of East Hampton source, in conflict with the record as baptized 18 January 1703 on the next line. No record supports a date of birth, only a record of date of baptism.
Daniel Miller was born in East Hampton, N.Y. and died 13 Dec. 1769, not born in Southold, N.Y. and died 16 Dec. 1756, his wife's date of death, as shown in RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project source. His great-grandfather John is stated in sources as arriving in East Hampton 1n 1649 or 1650, after leaving Lynn and Salem, Mass. about 1643 and stopping in Southampton first. Daniel's father and grandfather married daughters of established East Hampton families of Dimon (Deming) and Conkling.
The RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project information lacks references to sources or records.
