Biography

Faith Miller, the daughter of the Rev. John and Lydia Miller, was born about 1645, based on her age at death.[1] Her father was a householder in Sandwich in 1641[2] and in Yarmouth by 1647,[3] so her birthplace was probably in Sandwich, but no birth record is extant.

"(N)athaniell winslow and (Fa)ith miller were maryed ye 3rd of August 1664" in Marshfield, Plymouth County, (then) Plymouth Colony.[4]

She died in her 85th year on 9 November 1729 in Marshfield, Plymouth County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[1]

She was buried in the Old Winslow Burying Ground in Marshfield, where her tombstone reads:[6][7]

Here Lyes Buried the Body of Mrs Faith Winslow,
wife to Capt Nathaniel Winslow,
who Decd. Nov 9, Anno Domini 1729,
in ye 85th year of her age.

She is mentioned as Faith Winslow, along with her siblings, in the will of the Widow Susanna White of Charlestown, dated March 25, 1681, proved March 29, 1687, in which Susanna devised to cousins Jabob [H]ewins of Dorchester, John Miller of Yarmouth, Mehetabel Crow and Mary (wife of John Whittemore); to Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Frost of Billerica; to Lydia Fish of Sandwich; Faith Winslow; to children of Joseph Frost, 1/2 to the 3 eldest, half to 3 youngest, amongst others.[8] [9]

Note

The daughter of Rev. John (minister of Rowley, Yarmouth, MA) & Lydia Miller & g'granddaughter of John & Elizabeth (Jardfielde) Miller {disproved} of Strotford, EN, she married Nathaniel Winslow on Aug.3, 1664.[10]

Mary, in response to your mention of the son called John, his birth record called him Josiah, and he later used the name John. He's profiled as the last shown child above, Josias Winslow.

There is a son of Nathaniel and Faith named John. He would be probably one of her last children. She would have been in her 40s when she had him according to find a grave http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=20911028
