Biography



The eldest son he is named for both his grandfathers. Music played a large part in the Miller Family lives. Emanuel performed opera. According to Gladys Miller, his niece, Emanuel was very talented opera singer.
Double wedding
Emanuel and Annie married August 24, 1899 [1] in Wiconisco Pennsylvania. A double wedding ceremony where his sister Carrie married James Spangler.
Like so many of the family he worked in the coal mines. His younger brother Tobias was killed in the mines at a young age.

He died due to a mine accident in which his pelvis was fractured and his bladder ruptured, he developed uremia and toxemia. His place of death is listed as Fountain Springs, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, USA[2] and is buried in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, USA.[3]
