Biography

William Alexander Miller was born in Waterloo, Canada West about 1860. He was the son of Peter Miller and Sophia Winkler.

At the time of the 1861 Canada East, Canada West, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Census, Peter B, Sophia, David, Magdalena (enumerated as "Madalana"), Louisa (enumerated as "Loisa"), and William Miller were listed as living in Woolwich, Canada West.[1]. The census lists William’s age as 1, which is in line with his reported birth in 1860. In the census, the family is preceded on the enumeration sheet by Jacob and Ragena Miller, who may have been Sophia's parents, and followed by Peter Miller, who may have been Peter's father.
