Caleb was born in 1795. He was the son of Philip Miller and Maria Margaretha Helderman.

Lincoln County Justices of the Peace awarded contract to build a new court house to Jacob Ramsour, Maxwell Warlick, and Caleb Miller. Corner stone was laid in August, 1853, and building was completed about 1855. [1] In Jul 1852 in Lincolnton, Lincoln County, North Carolina, USA, his occupation was described as a "joiner" [a skilled carpenter] in land transaction.

Caleb Miller announced his candidacy for sheriff 27 JUN 1839 in Lincolnton, Lincoln County, North Carolina, USA. [2]

Caleb passed away in 1876.[3]
