Family tradition always had it that Elizabeth was married three times (which is proven true) and that her husbands were fishermen, the first two who drowned at sea. They were certainly all involved in fishing and the fact that her first two husbands died relatively young means that their occupation may well have had something to do with their early demise.
Her grandaughter, Barbara remembers her as an old woman, living in the house of her daughter, Louise. She had a room for herself in the house and was very fond of Gorgonzola cheese!
Death: Died 12th January 1942 at 20 Croft Street, Deptford, aged 81 years. The widow of Charles Mann a fisherman. Information was daughter L(ouise) Howard of the same address.
Cause of Death: Myocardial Degeneration; Chronic Bronchitis
