Ambrose is my grandmother's brother. He was a marine engineer and served in the British Merchant Navy from 1918 to 1921. He sailed from Southampton on February 6th, 1929 to New York on the RMS "Mauretania" He lived in Los Angeles briefly in 1930. He married Margaret Stryker, born in TX in 1894 at Los Angeles First unitarian Church on February 20th, 1929 (14 days after landing in NY). They had a daughter Mary, born in 1930.

Mary married Charles Elwis in Lost Angeles in 1949. They had four children.

There is some confusion about when and where Ambrose died. His wife Margaret said she thought he died in Hawaii in the 1930's. But there is strong possibility that he died in County Durham, England in September 1951 at age 63.

Ambrose was born in 1888. He is the son of John Miller and Mathilda Lockey. [1]
