John Miller (my great-grandfather) was born in 1857 to Miles Miller (my great-great grandfather) and Sarah Miller (nee Jobling). He had ten siblings; Ambrose, Alfred, Mary A, George, Phillip, Sarah, Edwin, Miles T, Septimus and William. John married Matilda Miller (nee Lockey). Their father Miles was a farmer, as was their grandfather (my great-great-great-grandfather) Ambrose.

John was a butcher in West Hartlepool, Durham until his death on Christmas day, December 25th, 1894 at age 37. He had five children, Harry, Ambrose, Harold, Matilda and Lucy A.

Biography

John Miller, born 1857 in Durham, England died in 1894, evidently just after conceiving Lucy, his youngest child. He was married to Mathilda Lockey in 1885, born Coxhoe, Durham in 1864. They worked as butchers and had three sons and two daughters. They lived on Scarborough St. in West Harlepool, Durham, England.
