Wayne was the son of R Blaine Miller and Mary Ramer, born in Weirton, WV,[1] but he lived in Armstrong County most of his life. He is buried in Elderton Cemetery.

Wayne M. Miller, 89, of Shelocta died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, in Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Weirton, W.Va., to the late Robert Blane and Mary M. (Ramer) Miller and was a member of Elderton United Methodist Church, Indiana Franklin Masonic Lodge 313, the Coudersport Consistory, Royal Arch Chapter 313 and the Farmers' Association of Indiana County. Wayne previously was the co-owner of Miller's Nursery and a field man for the Consolidated Natural Gas Co. for 30 years until retiring in 1982. He was a resident of Armstrong County most of his life and enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his son, Montford W. Miller of Dayton, Pa.; daughter, Nancy J. Meyers and husband Wayne of Richmond, Va.; grandsons, Randall D. and Drew E. Meyers and Richard E., Michael W. and Matthew B. Miller; granddaughter, Beth Anne Miller; four great- grandsons; a great-granddaughter; sister, Jean Conrad of Arizona, and brother, Leonard Miller of Arizona. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Alice L. (Dunmire) Miller, whom he married Feb. 3, 1937, and who died June 19, 2005; sister Josephine Sheesley, and brothers Wilmer, Clair and Dean Miller.
