  • Woodrow Warriner Miller's detailed 1985 research on Miller family tree by going to Virginia county courthouses, interviewing family members, reviewing wills, family bibles, etc. We are all grateful for Woodrow's tireless efforts in documenting the family tree back to 1766.

FamilySearch.org notes "Zena Miller" with her parents and sister Emogene in Rockingham County, North Carolina (Oregonville) in the 1880 Census. Both sisters are listed as born in North Carolina.

The 1880 Census of "Oregonville, Rockingham, North Carolina" lists Imogene Miller with her parents and their other young daughter, Zena Miller; so I am assuming she was born there. WikiTree seems to indicate that this location maybe "Oregon Hill" in Rockingham County, NC not Oregonville.

6/6/2020: I just noticed that Philip McEvoy (person in London, England writing the book about Polk Miller spelled her name Imogene (which I think is the correct spelling). So I changed the spelling of her first name from Emogene to Imogene.
