Excerpt from Henry Miller Family and Descendants, Page 120

The sixth child, third son, of Samuel S. and Elizabeth (Woolum) Miller was named Jacob Sherman. His entire life was spent in Symmes township of Lawrence county, Ohio.

He died at the age of fifty five. During his short span of activity, he not only was a farmer, but served as constable, and also for awhile was a Justice of the Peace of Symmes township.

He married Martha Ellen Cooper, daughter of Charles and Adeline (Hysel) Cooper. They were the parents of 11 children.

The family lived for some time near the home of Samuel Sherman Miller, Jacob's father. The hollow was called Buckhorn, the water flowed into Johns Creek. Their home was not very far from Waterloo, Ohio.

Jacob is buried in Rehoboth. After the death of the father the children mostly moved to the Springfield, Ohio area, although one or more lived as far away as Florida. Martha Ellen, the wife of Jacob, is buried near Springfield, Ohio.
