3. John Miller (Meller) III Esq.: Born Jan 1542/1543 at Winterbourne Came, Dorset, England. He married Anne daughter of Giles Winterhay of Chetnole, Dorset. She was born in 1545. In 1567 John Miller had the advowson of Came. John Miller and his descendants also held Bridehead in the parish of Little Bredy but returned home for burial. John Miller III’s will was written 22 Sep 1592 and proved 8 Jul 1595. John Miller III and Anne were buried in St. Peter’s Church Winterborne Came in 1595. He also possessed Littlebridy and Kingston Russell, and passed these on to his son Robert Meller, who, in 1603, became Sir Robert Meller. Robert Meller held the manor at the Visitation of Dorset in 1623.
