"Drury Woodson, Complainant, against William Woodson, Tarlton Woodson, German Booker, and Ann his wife, William Miller, and Lucy, his wife and he following infant children of the said William Miller, and Lucy his wife,

Fenton Miller Thomas Miller William Miller Heath Miller

and John M. Woodson, and Mary Woodson, infant children of Charles L. Woodson, deceased, and Henry W. Miller, Defendants.

The defendant, Henry W. Miller, not having entered his appearance, and given security according to the act of Assembly and the rules of this Court, and it appearing by satisfactory evidence, that he is not an inhabitant of this Commonwealth, it is ordered: that the said defendant do appear her on the 1st day of April term next, and answer the bill of the plaintiff, and that a copy of this order be forthwith inserted in some newspaper published in the city of Richmond, for two months successively, and posted up at the front of the court house of this county. John Daniel, Clerk Jan. 29.

So the above court case indicates that at least one William Miller with a wife named Lucy lived in Cumberland County, Virginia had FOUR infant children in 1833; none with the names of:

Arianna Miller

William Alred Miller (but one of four children above is noted as "William Miller")

Also William A. Miller's marriage of Lucy Woodson Daniel was NOT until 5/14/1812, and is noted to have infant children in 1833; so this Lucy would have been living when William Daniel passed away in 1812.

Biography

William was born about 1788. He was the son of Thomas Miller and Constance Massie. He passed away after 1860.

I first assumed William's middle initial of "A" may have been for Armistead; however I now see his mother's grandmother was an Anderson; so maybe his middle name was Anderson.

Odd that from link above a William A. Miller marries in Goochland Co., VA a Lucy W. Daniel (daughter of William Daniel) and Surety is a Henry H. WOODSON and witness Jos. Woodson given this William Miller is thought to have married a Lucy Woodson a few years later.
