Wit: Joseph Mayse, Alexander Taylor and Mathew Wallace Probated December 1815 Court Exec: son Alexander and friend John Brown Beg: to son Alexander the home plantaion on the Cowpasture and adjoining properties to daughter Margaret her living on the plantation until she is married. Alexander is to build her a home, convenient to his own, of hewn logs and shingles, and furnish her with meat and bread, to keep two cows for her and a "horse creature", four sheep and a half-acre of flax yearly to sons Robert and John plantation on Lick Creek in Greenbrier Co, adjoining Samuel Givins, equally divided with Robert having first choice to son Robert, Negro woman Cachmar (?) to son John, Negro boy Abino (?) to daughter Margaret 50 pounds, to be paid by Alexander other property, except books and farming utensils, to be sold with equal division of the proceeds among children Jean Early, Mary Benson, Elizabeth Black, and Robert, John and Margaret Miller to son Robert the family Bible to sons Robert, John and Alexander the works of Josephus to son John, Guthries Grammer to sons [sic] Alexander his dictionary and the farm utensils
