In James Miller's will of 29 Mar 1678 in York county, Virginia (probated 14 Apr 1678), he left his estate to his sister, Elizabeth "Isabella" (Miller) Lewis and her family. So James likely had no children or wife at the time of his death.
1675: A James Miller mentioned in the Rappahannock County, Virginia will (Order Book, 1656 - 1664) of a Henry Cox where the clerk of Rappahannock County (Edmund Craske) is also mentioned "father-in-law, William Strachey of Gloucester County as his executor as well as his wife. So this is highly likely the James Miller of this profile, since his sister (Mary Miller) was William Strachey's wife. "Cox, Henry. 20 Feb., 1674-5 ---- 2 Nov., 1675. Mentions Edmund Craske, clerk of Rappahannock county; John Haselwood; Mr. JAMES MILLER; brother-in-law Richard Cawthorn; nephew Richard Cawthorn, Jr.; niece Aurelia Cawthorn; to Thomas Gordon and Jane, his wife; son William Cox; child my wife now goes with; father-in-law WILLIAM STRACHEY of Gloucester county and my now wife Arabella Cox to be executors; witnesses Cornelius Melaghlein, William Harding, Thomas Hart."
NOTE: WILLIAM STRACHEY-4 (b- 1626 London - before 1686 London) IS JAMES MILLER, JR.’S SISTER, MARY MILLER’S (Abt. 1641-?) HUSBAND.
THIS COULD INDICATE A TIE OF MY MILLER'S TO THE SYMON MILLER FAMILY IN RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VA.
