John was born in 1887. He was the son of John Miller and Anna Heiler. He passed away in 1965.
Per the 1900 census, John (13) lived in Upper Township, Ironton, Oh along with his father John H. Miller Sr (44) his mother Anna (37), and his sisters: Laura M Miller (14), Alma A Miller (7), and Rosa S Miller (1).
John served his country during the 1st World War, acquiring the rank of Pvt. in Co. C, 132 Engineers.
According to the 1930 census, the family lived in Darke County. By then John Sr (83) was widowed and John Jr. was 43, and his brother, A. M. Miller was 39.
