James Miller was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
James Miller was born 1856, his birth registered that year in Belfast (now Port Fairy), Victoria, Australia. [1]
In 1885, in New Zealand, James married Deborah Priest.

- MARRIAGE.
- MILLER—PRIEST.— On the 21th June, at the Wesleyan Church, Timaru, by the Rev. P. W. Fairclough, James, eldest son of the late Robert Miller, Victoria, to Deborah, eldest daughter of Thomas Priest, Pareora. [2]
In 1910, when his mother died, James was still living in Timaru, New Zealand. [3]
Death. James passed away 18th October, 1938, aged 83.
