James Miller was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
James Miller was born 1856, his birth registered that year in Belfast (now Port Fairy), Victoria, Australia. [1]
In 1885, in New Zealand, James married Deborah Priest.

MARRIAGE.
MILLER—PRIEST.— On the 21th June, at the Wesleyan Church, Timaru, by the Rev. P. W. Fairclough, James, eldest son of the late Robert Miller, Victoria, to Deborah, eldest daughter of Thomas Priest, Pareora. [2]
In 1910, when his mother died, James was still living in Timaru, New Zealand. [3]
Death. James passed away 18th October, 1938, aged 83.

DEATHS
MILLER.—On October 18, 1938, at his residence, 27 Harper Street, James, beloved husband of the late Deborah Miller, late of Pareora West; in his 84th year.
Burial. James and Deborah are interred in the Pareora West Cemetery. [5]
