Biography

Louïs Milet was born on 5 Jun 1791 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup parish in Louiseville. He was the son of of Joseph Millet and Judith Leblanc. Sponsors at the infant Louis' baptism were Louis Milet and ___ Leblanc, wife of François Proûst; neither signed the register. At age 25 Louis married Marguerite Pellerin on 10 Feb 1817 in Sainte-Anne parish in Yamachiche. There were 14 children born into this marriage. Louis died at age 72 on 28 May 1864 in Saint-Étienne-des-Grès; he was buried two days later on 30 May in Saint-Étienne-des-Grès parish cemetery.
