Biography

William was born in 1836. He passed away in 1913.

The following statement is from another researcher regarding the information provided on the death certificate of William Watson Millican:

'"1913 TX Death Cert for WW Millican. Name of father shown as Milligan, which agrees with the widowed "Mrs. Milligan" shown in the 1860 Cherokee County, TX Census. Note the informant on the DC is J.A. Millican, WW's youngest son. Also note that WW's name is not shown as William Watson Millican, it is shown as Wm Bill Milligan. Noteworthy is the fact that WW's oldest son James Robert Millican's TX Death Cert shows WW's name as William Wilson Millican and named His Oldest Son Alba Wilson Millican. Also the date of death is shown as one day after the date shown on this tree, which is the date inscribed on WW's tombstone. One more thing, instead of a date of birth, the age of 83 years 8 mos 14 days is given, along with the year 1829, which is almost certainly wrong, given the neatly sequential dates of all the children in the 1850 Fayette County, TN Census, which shows WW was born c1836 (mstephen139, 2013) [1]

Millican-182 and Millican-126 appear to represent the same person because: Hello. I believe these two are the same. William Watson was married twice. His first wife was Susan and they had three children. However, he later married Mary Brazil and had 12 children.
