Biography

The first child of Sarah (Nelson) Milligan and Charles Byron Milligan, Ruben (also called "Rubin" on several documents) was said to have been an especially bright and happy baby, always accompanying his mother and "helping" her as she went about her daily chores. He fell ill and died before he turned one year of age. The stories are that his parents and other family members were grief-stricken almost beyond consolation, and the manager of this profile (D.L. Bredleau Thomas) has a poem and another writing by family members in remembrance of Ruben. They will be scanned & added to this profile soon.
