Milligan Bible (1818) Scotland, Robert Milligan presented his father, John C Milligan, a large Bible, printed in 1812 from the London Edition by Bemsley in 1791. Bible is in possession of family.

Silver Communion Set (1826) Robert Milligan purchased fine set in Scotland and presented to Richmond Bay Presbyterian charge "which extended all the way from Traveller's rest in the east to Lot 11 in the west." Currently on display in the Central Lot 16 United Church of Canada Chapel. Initials "R.B." (Richmond Bay) are engraved on the set, large wine decanter, 2 wine goblets (chalices), silver bread tray.
Built first church, Little log church, Belmont, Lot 16, not far from present-day Baptist Cemetery.

"After landing at Bedeque, Robert Milligan Sr. took his family west to St. Eleanor's Lot 17. During his residence there he was actively engaged in agriculture and by 1830, while Secretary of the Prince County Agricultural Society, he awarded a plough prize during the annual ploghing match held at St. Eleanor's on the Pavillion farm."
Military (1 Jan 1834) Age 50, Lieutenant in 3rd Prince County Regiment of Militia with headquarters at St. Eleanor's, under Commanding Officer Major Alexander Cameron.

Narrative
"It has been wriiten that Robert Milligan Sr. never missed a church service on the Sabbath or otherwise, until his last illness which bore him to his grave in 1871. It has also been recorded that apart from his church one of his distinct remembrances of bonns Scotland was that of seeing the great poet, Robert Burns, who was an exiseman at Dumfries at the time of his death in 1796 when Robert was twelve years old."
"As already mentioned, Robert Milligan Sr. was a carpenter and builder and he turned his skill toward shipbuilding as well. He is thouhgt to have moved from St. Eleanor's and settled at Sherbrooke, a little farther west, probably in the 1830's for his son, Thomas Milligan , was born there in 1839. he built at least two vessels in Prince County, quite likely on Richmond Bay, in partnership with his brothers: the 67 foot, 87 ton brigatine 'Mary', on March 24, 1845 and the 60 ton schooner 'Enterprise' in 1853"

↑ Along the North Shore, a social history of Township 11, PEI, by J. Clinton Morrison, Milligan family, pgs. 335- 343. Morrison had access to the family bible of Robert Milligan, with entries made by Milligan for all of his children. His place of death given in this Bible was Lot 11, where Milligan settled in 1861.
