Moses Milligan was born March 12, 1767 in Baltimore County, Maryland and he died February 9, 1843 in Belmont County, Ohio. Moses was buried on the family farm in Kirkwood Township, Belmont County, Ohio. S
Moses was the son of John Milligan and Miss McMahon who were from Ireland, coming to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and finally to Ohio. Moses Milligan married 25 March 1795 Mary Purdy. She was born 17 October 1771in Maryland and she died 10 October 1864 in Goshen Township, Belmont County, Ohio. Mary was the daughter of John Purdy and Mary Hutchinson of Maryland and Pennsylvania and West Virginia also coming from Ireland.
