Notes
Note N300From Debra Bohon and Horry County FTM oldest son of Andrew Isaiah was a schoolmaster and a farmer. He and Sophia had 8 children and lived near Hamlet, North Carolina. They were members of the Baptist church. Isaiah was of ordinary size with a dark complexion. From "Millikens of Brunswick County, NC", pgs 617-623; "History of the Families Millingas and Millanges", compiled by Rev. Gideon Tibbetts Ridlon, Sr.: Isaiah Milliken, eldest son of Andrew, b. 1810, married Sophia Russ and resided 6 miles south of Rockingham, NC. He was a schoolmaster in early life, afterwards a farmer, was of ordinary size with dark complexion. From Herbert M. Russ: A Isaiah Russ, born Dec 20, 1810; died Apr 26, 1888, is listed as buried in the Millican Cemetery, Richmond County. I beliece this is not a Russ, but Isaiah Millican (1810-1888), who married Sophia Russ. *1880 Census of Wolfpit Township, Richmond County, North Carolina, pg 319 (25) Household # 246 Family # 246 Millikin Isaiah - White - Male - 70 - farmer - b. in NC - both parents b. in NC Sophia - White - Female - 60 - wife - b. in NC - both parents b. in NC Thomas - White - Male - 21 - son - laborer - b. in NC - both parents b. in NC *1870 Census of Wolfpit Township, Rockingham, Richmond County, North Carolina, pg 672 Household # 170 Family # 168 Millican Isiah - 59 - Male - White - farmer - Real Estate Value: 100 - b. in NC Sophia - 50 - Female - White - keeping house - b. in NC Andrew J. - 15 - Male - White - farm laborer - b. in NC John T. - 11 - Male - White - farm laborer - b. in NC *1860 Census of Wolf Pit Township, Richmond County, North Carolina, pg. 74 Household # 341 Family # 341 Isah Millikin - 50 - Male - farmer - Real Estate Value: 200 - Personal Estate Value: 300 - b. in NC Sophia - 46 - Female - domestic - b. in NC Eldridge - 19 - Male - farm hand - b. in NC Catherine - 15 - Female - domestic - b. in NC Columbus A. - 13 - Male - b. in NC Prospa D. - 11 - Male - b. in NC Andrew J. - 5 - Male - b. in NC John T. - 3 - Male - b. in NC *1850 Census of Columbus County, North Carolina, pgs 263, 263b Household # 127 Family # 630 Isaiah Milligan - 39 - Male - farmer - Real Estate Value: 340 - b. in NC Sophia - 33 - Female - b. in NC Elbridge - 8 - Male - b. in NC - in school Katherine - 6 - Female - b. in NC Columbus A. - 4 - Male - b. in NC Prospyrd D. - 2 - Male - b. in NC.
