Sat 2 May 1874 Page 3 LOCAL AFFILIATION. — At the East Maitland police court yesterday, James Callaghan was summoned to answer a charge of refusing to contribute to the support of his illegitimate child, of which one Margaret Ann Mills was the mother. Defendant was ordered to pay 6s. per week towards the support of the child for a period of twelve months, also court costs 6s. 6d., and professional costs £1 1s. Mr. C. F. Sölling appeared for the plaintiff.
