Biography
I was born in Vidalia, Georgia because my mama didn't trust the hospital in my hometown, Baxley. I lived there until I headed to the University of Georgia in 2005, except for a few years from the ages of 4-6 when we lived in Jesup because my dad was teaching agriculture at Wayne County High School.
I'm currently living in Harlem, New York City, where I'm studying for dual masters degrees in Social Work and International Affairs at Columbia University.
I've always been fascinated by the human experience, which is what drew me to genealogy (that and my dad dragging me to courthouses, cemeteries and archives when I was in elementary school:), and have continued to pursue my own family history as a hobby off and on ever since. I love the personal connection that you feel to the people who came before you!
