He married Susannah "Susan" Eggleston about 1814 most likely in Saratoga, New York. They had the following children:
In the 1820 census, Abner was living in Hamburg, Niagara, New York, United States. His household included himself (free white male 26-44), his wife Susannah (free white female 16-25), and three children under age 10 (two females and one male).[1]
In the 1830 census, Abner was living in Collins, Erie, New York. His household included himself (male 30-39), his wife Susannah (female 30-39), and eight children (5 females and 3 males).[2]
In the 1840 census, Abner was in Hamburg, Erie, New York. His household included himself and Susannah (both 40-49), plus seven children under 14, and males one age (15-19) and one (20-29). One person in the household was employed in agriculture (likey Abner) and two persons were employed in [3]
In the 1850 census, Abner (age 57), Farmer, was in Hamburg, Erie, New York, United States. His household included his wife Susan (ae 50) and two children Francis (age 18) and Matilda (age 10).[4]
In the 1855 New York State census, Abner (age 63), Farmer, was the head of household in Hamburg, Erie, New York, United States. His household included his wife Susan (age 60), plus W Mills (age 16) [Wiliam Henry Mills], P Mills (age 16) [James P Mills], and M Mills (age 14) [Matilda Mills]. In this census, Abner's place of birth is reported as Saratoga County, New York.[5]
In the 1860 census, Abner (age 67), Carpenter & Joiner, was in Hamburg, Erie, New York. His household included his wife Susan and William, James, and Matilda Mills.[6]
In the 1865 New York State census Abner (age 72), Carpenter, was the head of household in Hamburg, Erie, New York, United States. His household included his wife Susan; his son William and William's wife Emiline and daughter Almira; and two grandchildren: George Judson and Maryette Judson, children of his daughter Fanny (Mills} Judson.[7]
Abner died in Jan 1870 in Hamburg, Erie, New York.[8]
