Jemima Mills was born in 1860. She was the daughter of Allison Mills and Martha Lockhart. She married Thomas McKervey about 1878.[1] They had at least 5 children, all girls, one of whom died as an infant.
Sometime between 1886, when their daughter Lily May was born, and 1891, the family moved to Saint John, NB. They were still in Saint John in 1896, when their youngest daughter was born, and died 5 months later. Their whereabouts after that are unknown.
