Biography

Mrs. Mary Morrison, 78, passed away suddenly, March 4th at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Larry Hogen, at Polson. Funeral services were held at Hot Springs Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Conrad Cemetery at Kalispell. Pallbearers were Nels Peterson, Stewart Hauptman, Ward Wineberriner, Arthur Argo and two Halverson brothers.

Mrs. Mary Morrison was born July 26, 1881, in Scotland. She married Arthur Morrison August 11, 1903. Arthur came to the United States in 1910 and Mary followed in 1913. They homesteaded north of Chester in the Sweet Grass Hills where they made their home until April 1950. They then moved to Hot Springs. Mr. Morrison passed away December 7, 1952.

Survivors of Mrs. Morrison include four sons and five daughters: James and Arthur Jr. of Chester; John, Whitlash; Francis, Davenport, Washington; Mary McDougal, Gladstone, Oregon; Mabel Getz, Hot Springs; Violett Racine, Cut Bank; Margaret Sarrazen, Livingston; and Lucy Lakey, Whitlash. Other survivors include 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
