John was the son of John Milne and Mary Ewen.

John (age 23), son of John Milne, married Lilian Maud Buss on 29 August 1920 in Norbiton, St Peter, Surrey, England. he was 23 and a fireman. Witnesses were William Edward Buss and Mary Catherine Caulder(sp?) ^[5]
