Biography

"James A Minor, son of Alfred and Penina Minor, born Aug 3, 1856, departed this life Aug 12, 1934, age 79 years, 9 days. After residing in Danville, Ill., for more than 50 years, Mr. Minor and his wife left their home in the Holland building last fall and went to New York. He died at the home of Mrs. Minor's niece, mrs. Fred Riggs of Long Island, NY. For many years he has been employed at the otto Newman Clothing store. Surviving besides his widow, is a sister, Mrs. Dora Harper of Veedersburg, Ind. His first wife and daughter preceded him in death several years ago. The body was shipped to Lafayette, Ind., on Tuesday and burial was in the St. Mary's cemetery of that city.
