Luther Minor/Miner s. Daniel & Marcy, was born Mar. 27, 1788, in Stonington [1].
He married 7 Feb 1813 in North Stonington, Nancy Moore, both of North Stonington.[2]
He lived and farmed in Cornwall, Connecticut, in 1820. 3 males under 10, 1 male age 16 thru 18, 1 male 26 thru 44 (Luther was 32), 1 female under 10, 1 female 10 thru 15, 1 female 26 thru 44 (Nancy). Luther and Nancy have only been married 7 years so the older two children are probably not their children.[3]
1830, still in Corwall, the family unit consisted of a male child under 5, 2 10 thru 14, and Luther age 40 thru 49, a girl 10 thru 14, a female 30 thru 39 and one 40 thru 49.[4]
1840, Cornwall, males one 10 thru 14, on 20 thru 29, one 50 thru 59; females one 15 thru 19, one 50 thru 59.[5]
Nancy died Jan. 6, 1846, according to her tombstone, at the Cornwall Cemetery.[6]
Luther married again to Hannah, who lived with him in 1850 and 1855.[7]
In 1850, the US Agricultural Census, has data for Luther Miner in Cornwall, Connecticut,[8] Luther Miner, age 32, has been misindexed as Cather Minor, he would be farming this land in Cornwall.
Luther (the elder, presumably Sr.) lived in Chenango, Norwich, New York, with Hannah M. Miner, age 61, b. in Connecticut, and Senna W Miner age 23, a joiner.[9]
Hannah M. Miner is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Norwich, Chenango County, New York, USA[10]
Luther returned to Cornwall after the death of Hannah in March 1860, and lived with Luther Jr and his family,[11] until his death a year later.
Luther died Apr. 7, 1861 and is buried beside Nancy.[12]
