Biography

Francina "Sina" (Dement) Pryor was born 22 May 1831 in Ohio.

She was married to John Pryor. They had about eight children together.

In 1870, the Pryor family were living in Seneca Township, Monroe, Ohio. James' father John made his living as a farmer.^[1]

Mrs. Sina Pryor passed away 4 Jan 1893 (age 61). She was buried at the Heddings Road Chapel Cemetery in Spencer, Owen County, Indiana, United States. ^[2]

Research Notes

After learning her maiden name was Francina "Sina" Dement, I found out her sister Elizabeth Dement was married to Christian Pryor brother to her husband John Pryor. Her father Vincent Dement was born 1803 in Virginia and passed away April 26, 1870 in Seneca Township, Monroe, Ohio.^[3]Her mother Elizabeth was born about 1805 in Ohio and passed away March 11, 1875 in Seneca Township, Monroe, Ohio. ^[4]I found an international marriage record for Vincent Dement and Elizabeth Carpenter but am not sure it is for these two people. It is a possible lead.
