Biography
As confirmed by the Censuses cited below, John was born in Belfast in about 1804.
He married Mary McAlpin in Belfast in 1829.
In the 1851 census John (age 46) was the head of household in Kingmoor, Cumberland, England.[1] The household consisted of:

He died on March 10 1885. His death (age 76) was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1885 in the Carlisle district.[3]
