James Mitchell married Mary Ann Laing, 30 Apr 1857 in Battle Harbour, Labrador, Newfoundland[1][2]. They were bachelor and spinster. The wedding was witnessed by Jane Young and Ambrose Young.
Death
James Mitchell died 22 May 1910, at the age of 87, of "heart disease", in Benoit's Cove. He was born in England[3].
James and Mary Ann were buried in adjacent graves. She died Nov. 4,1906 at the age of 69[4][5].
