John Mitchell's birth year is listed as 1701 in his Geni profile, he is listed as the first born son of John Mitchell b. July 17, 1685, Charles Parish, York Co, VA. His mother is listed as Catherine Bates b. 1688; therefore, the birth year of 1701 would make Catherine a mother at age 13, which is not likely. I found that John's parents were married abt. 1706 and John's birth year is calculated at 1707. John died abt. 1770, Mecklenburg Co./ Lunenburg County, VA. John m. Hannah (unknown)
