Gladys Mitchell Dies Here Today Miss Gladys Helen Mitchell passed away in the Freeman Greene County Hospital at 8:40 o'clock this morning, following a long illness. She was born in Greene county on January 6, 1900, the daughter of Quincy and Stella Beaty Mitchell. She had spent her entire life in Linton and was an active member and worked in the First Christian Church. She had taught in the Primary Department of the church for a number of years and was a member of Linton chapter of Tri Kappa. She was also an active worker with the Linton Girl Scouts. Her only survivor is a brother, Milo Mitchell of Linton. The body was taken to the Welch and Cornett Funeral Home where friends may call after seven o’clock Saturday evening. Private funeral services will be held from the Funeral Home at ten o’clock Monday morning with Rev. George Potter officiating. Burial will be made in Fairview cemetery. The family asks that flowers be omitted.
