Biography
William was born in 1815, in McMinnville, Warren, Tennessee. He was the son of James Mitchell and Martha Jane McGregor. He married Melinda Burlseson (1810-1891) in Feb 1832, in Tennessee. They had 6 boys and 4 girls. The family lived in Tennessee until 1853 when the youngest son, William H Mitchell was born. He died Feb 1861 and was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery,Greenfield, Dade County, Missouri.
