Biography

Donald Hamilton was born 11th May 1892[1][2][3] in Templemore[4], Londonderry, Ireland[5]. He was the son of James Mitchell[6] and Jane Mitchell[5].

Donald was admitted to Plumstead Road School, Woowich, Kent on the 1st March 1897[1]

On the 23rd October 1915, Donald Hamilton married Jennie Louisa Norris at All Saints, Belvedere, Kent, England. Donald Hamilton Mitchell, 23, bachelor, Engineer of 3 Lessness Road, Stapley Road, Belvedere, son of James Henry Mitchell (Carpenter) and Jennie Louisa Norris, 22, spinster, of 3 Lessness Road, Stapley Road, Belvedere, daughter of George Norris (Brick layer, deceased). Witnessed by Caroline Jarvis, Harry Norris and William John Phillpott {brother-in law}[6]

In 1939, Donald was living at 1 Roberts Road , Erith, Kent, England. Living with Jane {sic} L. Mitchell (b. 9th Oct 1894) and Donald J. Mitchell (b. 24th Oct 1916) and one probable child still living ( record closed). Occupation: Setter Examiner (engineer)[2]

He passed away in 1974 in Derbyshire, England[3].
