Research Notes
J. B. Hawkins appears to be John Benton Hawkins who was a widower and lived fairly close to Matilda in the Staunton Magisterial District in 1920.[11] His first wife passed away in 1919.[12] In 1930[13] and 1940[14] Censuses, John was living in the Staunton Magisterial District, Bedford, Virginia, United States with a 3rd wife, Annie L. MNU.
