Melissa Adelaide Mitchell was born on 27 Aug 1868 in Jeddore, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of John William Mitchell (1830 - 1909) and Margaret (Arnold) Mitchell (~1835 - 1886).

Her brother was Josiah Ezekiel Mitchell (1855 - ).

Melissa married Alvin Issac Webber (born in Jeddore on 14 Jun 1866; died in Lake Charlotte, Halifax on 6 Jul 1954), son of Isaac Webber and Maria Stoddard. Their daughter was Pansy Margaret Webber (1891 - 1966).

In 1871, Melissa was living in Jeddore.

In 1881, Melissa was living in Jeddore.

In 1891, Melissa was living in Jeddore.

In 31 Mar 1901, Melissa was living in Halifax.

In 1911, Melissa was living in Halifax.

In 1930, Melissa died. They were buried in Lake Charlotte.
