Jemima, illegitimate daughter of Barbara Mitchell, was born 16 Feb 1879 at Nethergate, St. Clement, Dundee. [1] She lived with her maternal grandparents at 3 Keys Close, Dundee in 1881. [2] She lived with her family at 4 Gellatly Street, Dundee, St. Clement in 1891 and worked in a jute mill at the age of 12. [3]
When Jemima's mother died in 1909, Jemima was the informant for the death registration and by then was Jemima Wilson, living at 36 Wolseley Street, Dundee. [4]
