Thomas, son of Joseph and Mary (née Cassels) Mitchell, was born on the 4th November 1883 in Tullowland Tullowphelim, County Carlow[1][2]
and was baptised on the 9th December 1883 in Tullow.[2]
He was recorded in Tullowphelim, County Carlow, living with his father, on the 1901[3]
and 1911 censuses.[4] In 1911 his occupation was recorded as "South Irish Horse Sergeant Special Reserve".
He married Alice MacRitchie in Carleton, Ontario, Canada on 17 Sep 1918.[6] On the wedding registration his occupation was listed as "Superintendant".[6]
He was recorded in York East, Ontario on the 1921 census.[7]
He died 29 Apr 1944 in Windsor, Ontario. At the time of death he was listed as a Government Inspector at Plant 4 of the Ford Motor Company. He was buried at St. John's Norway Cemetary in Toronto.[8][5][9]
