Biography
Caroline was born in Devon, England in 1837. Her parents were Christopher Bislake Mitchell and Ann Besley. [1]
She was christened on 22 MAR 1837 at Tiverton,Devon,England.[2][3]
Caroline Mitchell arrived in Australia 1842 aboard the "Marchioness of Bute".
She married George Beauchamp in 1855. [4]
They had 6 children.
George passed away in 1867.
She remarried. She married Charles Stephens in Bathurst in 1871. [5]
They had 5 children.
1879 From childbirths, Charles and Caroline move to Sydney before son Arthur's birth. They purchase a house in Balmain.
Charles passed away in 1889.
She remarried. She married Charles William Viegut at Balmain in 1891. [6]
She passed away in Rozelle in 1910. [7]
The following notice appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald:
"VIEGUT. - February 17, 1910, at 15 Springside street, Roselle, Caroline Parry Viegut, dearly beloved wife of Charles Viegut, aged 73. At rest. Home papers please copy. [8]
