Edith Sarah Mitchell was born on 11 August 1900 in Kane, McKean County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Franklin Joseph Mitchell and Ida Jane Bethune.[1]

Edith Sarah Mitchell McElhatten died 16 February 1980 in Rochester, Beaver County, Pennsylvania and was buried at Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.[2]
