Marie Josèphe Mius was born on August 12, 1732 in Annapolis Royal, Acadia, Colony of Nova Scotia.[1] Her parents were Charles Mius and Marie Marthe Hébert.

She married Pierre Lemarquis dit Clermont around 1756.
